Travertine, Limestone, and Marbles are quarried in the form of blocks, some weighing up to 20 tons. The method of cutting the block is by drilling holes into the mountain and running a cutting cable through them until the block is separated from the mountain. Out of one quarry come many color ranges and qualities of stone. Each block is graded, marked and waiting to be transferred to the factory. Heavy duty equipment transfer the blocks of stones from the quarry to factory.
